Entity clarity guide
Generative systems reason over entities — organizations, products, people — and their relationships. If your brand's name, offering, and boundaries are stated inconsistently across the web, models have less confidence describing you.
01State the basics everywhere, identically
- One official name, spelled the same way in your footer, about page, profiles and structured data.
- A concise 'what we do' sentence repeated verbatim where appropriate — consistency beats creativity for entity grounding.
- Explicit relationships: parent company, sister products, regions served.
02Disambiguate deliberately
- If your name collides with other brands or common words, provide distinguishing context early and often.
- Maintain a consistent author identity for content, with credentials on a linked bio page.
- Claim and align external profiles so third-party references corroborate your own statements.
03Boundaries build confidence
- Say plainly what you are not and do not offer.
- Keep terminology stable: renaming things frequently fragments your entity footprint.
